Some of Mary's songs have been included on complilation albums released by Mad Mackerel Music, Providence MusicWorks, and Fast Folk Musical Magazine. Mary also has two CDs available for sale at www.cdbaby.com/wheelan. One is entitled Creek at Crack of Dawn. The other is Teach a Little Peace: Songs for All Ages. A C.D. she produced with Strong Oak entitled Quit Quest, which is used for quitting smoking, is also available at CDbaby. Mary's song, Carol's Lament, is available for download at www.smithsonianglobalsounds.org as part of the HEAR in Rhode Island CD released by Fast Folk Musical Magazine in NYC in May, 1995. Mary performed at the Fast Folk Music Cafe shortly after its release.
Sean Reagan, a reporter from the Daily Hampshire Gazette, stated in an article about a performance that "Wheelan's voice, alternating between sweet croons and bluesy moans, mesmerized the audience." Another reviewer once described one of Mary's performances as "introspective" and "uplifting." Mary views creative energy as a healing force which she brings into her life, her work, her writing, and her music.
